Join Center for Food Action and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service #10K4MLK Snack Pack Challenge to fund 10,000 Snack Packs for area children
On Monday, January 18, 2021, our country will pause to celebrate the 92nd birthday of civil rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King’s messages advocated for economic justice, education, housing, empowerment of the poor, and working-class people of all colors. Dr. King stated, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘what are you doing for others?’”
Join Center for Food Action and our Virtual Event Chair, Mrs. Theodora Smiley Lacey, as we seek to alleviate the issue of childhood hunger in northern NJ. Our 2021 #10K4MLK Virtual Day of Service funds Snack Packs for area school children at risk of hunger during the pandemic. Whether schools are in person, hybrid, or remote, being left without adequate nutrition is not an option!
Our goal is to raise $50,000, enough for 10,000 snack packs. Together we can help overcome childhood hunger by honoring Dr. King’s legacy as we feed the children in our neighborhoods.
Our children are worth it!
Please join us as a fundraiser, or make your generous donation now, and share our #10K4MLK event with your friends and family.
