Here are the answers to a few common questions:
We depend on volunteers to commit to at least one shift (2-3 hours) each week at one of our locations in Saddlebrook, Hackensack, Englewood, and Mahwah. Across these four sites, we serve approximately 200 families per day, totaling 1,000 families each week.
Our ability to provide essential food and groceries to our communities relies on the support of our volunteers.
When we have enough volunteers at our sites to help with sorting, boxing, and distributing food, we can ensure that our neighbors leave with enough to feed their families.
Our dedicated volunteers come from all walks of life – ranging from high school students to senior citizens, speaking various languages, and representing diverse communities throughout Bergen County.

Volunteer positions include outdoor drive-thru food distributions, packing food boxes,general warehouse work and administrative tasks. In some cases, working in our organic garden.
Every weekday, Monday through Friday, volunteers prepare food packages that are distributed to guests at our Mahwah, Saddle Brook, Englewood, and Hackensack locations.
