Center For Food Action – Non Profit in New Jersey

We are so pleased you are considering becoming a volunteer with Center for Food Action.

Here are the answers to a few common questions:

Why volunteer with CFA?

We depend on volunteers to commit to at least one shift (2-3 hours) each week at one of our locations in Saddlebrook, Hackensack, Englewood, and Mahwah. Across these four sites, we serve approximately 200 families per day, totaling 1,000 families each week.
Our ability to provide essential food and groceries to our communities relies on the support of our volunteers.
When we have enough volunteers at our sites to help with sorting, boxing, and distributing food, we can ensure that our neighbors leave with enough to feed their families.
Our dedicated volunteers come from all walks of life – ranging from high school students to senior citizens, speaking various languages, and representing diverse communities throughout Bergen County.
