Our Work

Center for Food Action helps neighbors in Bergen and Upper Passaic Counties access food, rental assistance, utility support, and other resources during times of hardship.

Across our sites and community partnerships, we connect individuals and families with the support they need to stabilize and move forward. We also work to strengthen nutrition programs and food security policy through Hunger Free New Jersey, our statewide advocacy program.

Our Mission

The mission of the Center for Food Action is to support northern New Jersey residents experiencing food insecurity and economic hardship by providing food, rental and utility assistance, and comprehensive wraparound services that support individuals and families on their path toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Our Vision

CFA's vision is to expand CHOICE pantries at all locations to increase access to fresh, nutritious food, while investing in infrastructure and technology to enhance efficiency, optimize warehouse operations and logistics, and serve as a central hub for community partners.
