Unified Lightness stays ~0.65 L
Kit bases sit around mid lightness (#7c9d28 primary, #3b91ec base, #aa7fa0 tertiary). Vanessa navy #023864 and purple #56004B are much darker. Do NOT drop Unified L to force those onto the base swatches — that would crush Primary/Base midtones site-wide.
Instead: keep Unified L, map dark brand colors to dark / ultra-dark shades, and use Granular shade adjustment to land the exact hex on those shade slots.
What to tweak in the ACSS panel
• Chroma (C) — saturation / richness
• Hue (°) — color family (green vs blue vs purple)
• Granular shade adjustment — nudge one shade (e.g. tertiary-dark, base-ultra-light, primary-ultra-light) without rewriting the whole family
• Accent ≈ Primary green (intentional) — do not put purple on Accent
Suggested pass order with Vanessa
1) Tertiary purple → land #56004B on a dark shade
2) Base navy → land #023864 on base-dark / bg-dark
3) Primary green → #77A244 on –primary; #3F660F on primary-dark
4) Washes → #EDF8FF on base-ultra-light; #F6FFEB on primary-ultra-light
5) Hard-refresh this page after each kit save to compare chips
2 · Matchups + adjustment suggestions
Current kit bases (2026-08-03): Primary #7c9d28 · Accent #7c9e1f · Secondary #a28b69 · Tertiary #aa7fa0 · Base #3b91ec · all Unified 0.65 L.
Purple · #56004B → Tertiary (priority)
Kit today: Tertiary base #aa7fa0 · C 0.070 · H 335° — too light / muted vs brand purple.
Suggest:
• Keep Unified L at 0.65 — do not force #56004B onto the tertiary BASE swatch.
• Raise Chroma a lot (try ~0.12–0.18) so purple doesn’t look dusty.
• Hue: start ~330–340°; nudge until chip feels like #56004B (not pink-lilac).
• Open Granular shade adjustment → darken tertiary-dark and/or tertiary-ultra-dark until one of them visually matches #56004B. That shade becomes the brand purple token for CTAs/titles.
• Optional: leave mid tertiary softer for light purple UI; brand moments use the matched dark shade.

Navy bands · #023864 → Base dark
Section dark already maps –bg-dark → –base-dark. Kit Base base is bright #3b91ec (C 0.159 · H 253°) — fine for mid blues; navy lives in dark shades.
Suggest:
• Leave Unified L / Base mid as-is unless site blues feel wrong.
• Hue ~250–255° is in the right family for CFANJ blue.
• Granular: adjust base-dark (and bg-dark if linked) toward #023864 — slightly less bright / a touch more navy (may need tiny hue nudge toward 240–250 if it reads too electric).
• If base-dark is still too light, try base-ultra-dark for bands, or granular-darken base-dark.
• Navy text #1C2B55: same family — often base-ultra-dark or a slightly cooler granular tweak of base-dark.

Green bands · #77A244 → Primary (+ Accent lock)
Kit Primary #7c9d28 · C 0.146 · H 124°. Accent #7c9e1f same green (keep locked — not orange).
Suggest:
• –primary is already close to #77A244 (both mid olive-lime). Eyeball chips: if Vanessa looks a hair more yellow/lime, nudge Hue slightly down (~120–122°) or raise C a touch (~0.15–0.16).
• If Primary matches but Accent drifts, copy Primary L/C/H onto Accent (or re-paste hex).
• Do not use Secondary tan for these greens.

Dark green (SITE) · #3F660F → Primary dark shades
Brand dark green is not the Primary mid swatch — use darker shades.
Suggest:
• Granular-adjust primary-dark toward #3F660F (lower lightness on that shade only; keep hue ~124°).
• If still too bright, use primary-ultra-dark or deepen primary-dark further.
• After Primary C/H tweaks for #77A244, re-check this pair — dark shades follow the family.

Blue wash · #EDF8FF → Base ultra-light
Section ultra-light → –base-ultra-light / –bg-ultra-light.
Suggest:
• Granular: lighten / cool base-ultra-light toward #EDF8FF (very pale icy blue).
• If wash looks too grey, raise chroma slightly on that shade only (keep overall Base C if mid blues are good).
• Prefer this over remapping washes to Primary.

Green wash · #F6FFEB → Primary ultra-light (kit gap)
Today Section light uses –base-light (blue tint) — weak match for Vanessa’s green wash.
Suggest:
• Granular: tune primary-ultra-light to #F6FFEB (pale mint).
• If still too strong, also soften primary-light.
• Product follow-up: point those bands at a primary-ultra-light Surface / Section path instead of Section light — kit shade first, prop remap second.
