Healthy Smile Pack Program

Program Overview

CFA’s Smile Pack Program provides families and guests with essential dental hygiene supplies to help support healthy habits and everyday care.

Each Smile Pack includes a toothbrush, dental flossers, and toothpaste. Thanks to support from local dentists and community groups, Smile Packs are also periodically included with Weekend Snack Packs distributed to elementary school children.

Ways to Help

Support CFA's Smile Pack Program by making a financial gift, donating dental hygiene supplies, or assembling Smile Packs with your family, school, workplace, or community group.

1. Donate to the Smile Pack Program

You can make a financial gift or donate new, unopened dental hygiene supplies to help CFA provide Smile Packs to children and adults throughout our community. Local dentists are also encouraged to donate surplus toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and other dental care products.

2. Assemble Your Own Smile Pack

Anyone can create a Smile Pack. Include new, unopened dental hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, or other oral care essentials. There is no specific brand or product required—every donation helps.

3. Host a Smile Pack Event

Smile Packs are a great service project for schools, Girl Scout troops, youth groups, faith communities, businesses, and families. Hosting a collection or packing event is an easy way to engage others while helping local children and adults access essential dental hygiene supplies. Completed Smile Packs can be dropped off at any Center for Food Action location and will be distributed to families as supplies are needed. Add a handwritten note or positive message to brighten someone's day and remind them that their community cares.

Healthy Smile Habits

Ten-year-old Emma dreams of becoming a dentist someday. When her Girl Scout troop assembled Smile Packs, she carefully filled each bag with toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss before adding a handwritten note that read, "I hope this helps you smile!" Emma knew that not every child has easy access to dental care or everyday hygiene supplies, and hoped her Smile Pack would help another child build healthy habits, protect their smile, and feel confident knowing someone in their community cared.
